Parents and family members are welcome to ride in the car with their graduate, but we would like to limit only 1 car per graduate for the parade. The parade route and map will be emailed out to parents prior to May 18th.
    • Most seniors will decorate their vehicles with some type of decor that represents their future plans. Some have decorated in a way to represent the college they plan on attending, Argyle High School colors, the branch of military they plan on joining, etc. It’s a great time for former teachers and AISD employees to celebrate the class of 2024 graduates!
    • Dress/Attire - Students are welcome to dress casually. Most will wear some type of college shirt or Argyle attire, but there are no dress requirements for this evening. Just remember pictures will be taken - LOTS of pictures!

    • All cars will line up in preparation for the slide show that will follow the rose ceremony.
    • Mrs.Sutton will give a short speech for the graduates, and each senior will receive a rose.

    • There is a clear bag policy for the UNT Coliseum. Additional information regarding the allowed and prohibited items at UNT will be sent to all senior parents/guardians. ○ Graduates ARE able to decorate their graduation caps. If the student has not had their design approved by AHS administration, they will be given a new blank cap prior to the graduation ceremony.
    • Students should not have their phones during the ceremony. We encourage students to leave their phones with their family, but if they bring them to graduation, they will be kept in a labeled, zip lock bag until after the ceremony.
    • Dress/Attire: Students are expected to be in nice dress attire for the ceremony. Gentlemen are expected to wear a collared shirt and nice shoes. Ladies are encouraged to wear a nice dress. No tennis shoes, please. Please be aware that all students will walk up/down several flights of stairs so be mindful of that when picking out your shoes for the event. Very high heels make walking and stairs very difficult and we don’t want anyone to fall on stage.

  1. Once teachers have verified Cycle #3 grades, all senior GPA’s and class rankings are finalized and frozen for graduation purposes.
  2. This does not mean that Cycle #4 grades aren’t important. They are.
  3. Cycle #4 grades can keep you from graduating on May 21st with your classmates.
  4. We will notify the Top 10 graduates of their ranking sometime next week.
  5. Don’t waste a lot of hard work by failing to do just a little bit more hard work.

  1. Be sure you submit your two photos to Ms. Lyon for your senior slideshow. One is a youth picture and the second is a senior photo.

  2. Don’t forget to take your graduation gown out of the package and let it hang. Otherwise, it will have tons of wrinkles. DO NOT IRON YOUR GOWN.

  3. If you did not order a cap and gown, please see Mr. King or Mrs. Fowler ASAP.

  4. If you have ordered your cap and gown but did not pick it up when Josten’s was on campus, please stop by the front office and Ms. Johnson or Ms. Tisdale should be able to get your gown.
